Late Evang Steven Pelemo affectionately referred to as Bro-Bro served as a choir-master at CCC Makoko National Headquarters in Lagos. His dedication to developed the choir and the music of Celestial Church of Christ was recognized worldwide. His contributions to the church’s music are deeply ingrained in its history and have left an indelible mark on the Celestial Church church of Christ.
It well known that Church music cannot be separated from gospel music, as composers such as J.S. Bach, Handel, Mozart and Beethoven have all made significant contributions to the genre. The music of Celestial Church of Christ is also inspired by divine influence, with the church choir-master serving as a vessel for ministering to the congregation. Late Baba Bada, the first choir-master in the history of our church established a foundation that subsequent generations of musicians have followed. One such musician who carried on Bada’s musical legacy was Sup Evang Steven Pelemo.
Late Bro Bro timeless compositions, his performance with the choir of CCC Makoko National Headquarters in Lagos and other parishes in the Church have resonated his value and love of Gospel music. These compositions have served as a guidance light for the church, helping to forge positive paths for its members. Late Evang Steven Pelemo’s influence on the church has been profound, as he played a key role in the creation of hymns that have become integral to the church’s worship.

Steven Pelemi’s legacy as a gospel musician will forever be cherished, and his absence will be deeply felt in the celestial music world. He will always be remembered as an irreplaceable figure in the history of the Celestial Church of Christ.
