(The mind set of future leaders)
The responsibility of being thoughtful remains a key factor for sincere leadership, which undoubtedly plays a significant role for us, the “Concerned Shepherds/Church Workers” in the United Kingdom. We started the reformation movement not only for Celestial Church members in the Diocese but also to represent the uniqueness of God in the Diocese.
The recent activities within the Diocese have given us the right direction to continue advocating for a system where every member will be a stakeholder. The basic principles of our church is to promote transparency, equality, fairness, and unity in the presence of God. The establishment of Celestial Church of Christ in the United Kingdom was meant to spread love and the salvation of Christ, not to introduce harmful elements into the Church.
We, the “Concerned Shepherds/Church Workers UK Diocese,” have resolved to maintain the biblical definition of God’s servants for the purpose of our existence on earth.
We accept the responsibility to champion the principles of restructuring, restoring, and rebuilding of Celestial Church of Christ in the United Kingdom. This reform has been highlighted in our previous communique, and members within the Diocese have been adopting our way of thinking as the only way to remove the negativity that few individuals have planted in the Diocese.
We want to further express our “3 Rs” to every Celestial Church member in the UK Diocese to prepare our minds for the task ahead. This task will be achieved as the response from shepherds and worshippers in the Diocese gives us a positive indication that we are on the right path to correct the ineffectiveness caused by few people who are taking advantage of the Church’s administrative system.
RESTRUCTURING OF THE DIOCESE
Our primary focus is on the religious restructuring of the Diocese. It has been established beyond reasonable doubt that the present leadership has collapsed the structure upon which the Church operates. The process of restructuring has started with the introduction of the modernization theory through our demands.
We have created a framework where members have indicated their willingness to spread our new administrative system, which will allow worshippers in the Diocese to have full autonomy of the Diocese.
Restructuring the UK Diocese is the collective responsibility of every member in order to achieve a better organized Diocese that we can be proud to associate with.
Furthermore; we should secure principles such as:
(1)To ensure that the Diocese is run without prejudice /favouritism and working effectively within the UK laws and charity commission rules.
(2) Set out a clear direction for the diocese and the process of governance understandable to all.
(3) All appointments to any position will come with detailed portfolios, clarification of duties and responsibilities, which will include the term of office.
(4) All remittance to the domiciliary account must be included in the quarterly statement. This must be supported by receipts of payment.
(5) Diocese decision making process will be by collective agreement by the executive Council followed by the members of the body.
(6) Follow projects to the end, avoiding short-term approaches. Any project that will be financed must go through stringent tests .
(7) When matters are referred to Nigeria, three members of the executive governing council will be nominated at the executive Council meeting represented by 2/3 of the members to deliver the decision of the Diocese to the Pastor. RESTORING THE DIOCESE
Celestial Church of Christ is a biblical orientation church with heavenly instructions through our doctrinal practice. No individual has the right to change or read just the Church’s basic principles to accomplish their personal goals. The present leadership has changed all the established rules, completely separating spiritualism from the system.
We, the “Concerned Shepherds/Church Workers UK Diocese,” are bringing the restoring process towards our aims and objectives. Our objectives include restoring confidence in the Diocese, promoting transparency, and fostering respect among members. We will also ensure accountability in the management of the Diocese’s resources and eliminate the era of authoritarianism.
The restoration process of the Diocese will include:
(1) credibility to the anointment process and eliminate favouritism.
(2) Bring back credibility into the accounting system and publish quarterly financial statements. Putting an end to financial mismanagement.
(3) Restoring trust in our leaders, factually presenting and relaying information to and from Nigeria. REBUILDING THE DIOCESE
Many members remain sceptical about whether the Diocese can be rebuilt. As concerned Shephards/ Church Workers, we want a systematic factor that will accommodate genuine leaders who will sustain the philosophy of Celestial Church of Christ. Rebuilding the togetherness among members is one of our perspectives, we have reviewed all the activities under the current leadership, which have generated controversy in the Diocese.
The continuous presence of this leadership will further expose the Diocese to discord and misunderstandings of defined love. We have begun the process of rebuilding the Diocese, where Celestial members in the United Kingdom will relate to each other as faithful believers, not as enemies in the same faith.
We should make provision of effective Evangelization throughout the Diocese and adopt the following steps such as:
(1)To preach the gospel and develop leaders that can move Christianity forward.
(2) To ensure that the process of governance is robust, resilient, and futuristic.
(3) Investing in properties and other viable projects that will boost the account of the Diocese. We will not only rely on the income from Billington and contributions from pastoral returns.
(4) Decisions in the United Kingdom Diocese will be made in the United Kingdom, with the authority of the pastor as the spiritual head of the church.
In conclusion, this process will re-establish what the Celestial Church of Christ stands for and accept us as true Celestial members with open arms. We, the “Concerned Shepherds/Church Workers UK Diocese,” will ensure that we achieve the necessary reforms of the 3Rs for the betterment of the Diocese.
We also appreciate shepherds/members who have constantly contacted us to express their dissatisfaction with the present leadership. We advised them to publicly declare their intention to join us in restructuring, restoring, and rebuilding the future of Celestial Church of Christ in the United Kingdom.
We understand that the unfolding events in the United Kingdom Diocese have brought forth a gathering storm of rejection for the Head of the Diocese. It is disheartening to witness the erosion of confidence in his leadership.
We are patiently waiting for the arrival of his Eminence Rev. Pastor EMF Oshoffa, whom we believe through the spirit of Papa Rev Pastor Prophet SBJ Oshoffa, will join hands to rescue the Diocese at this critical time.
Signed
Concerned Shepherds/Church Worker’s UK Diocese
