The current situation surrounding our religious organization demands deep contemplation. If we continue to hurl accusations at each other regarding this ongoing issue, we are only paving the way for more disunity instead of unity. Unity is crucial for the Church to uphold the manifestation of God’s plan over the Celestial Church of Christ. As per the principles and doctrines of our Church, every opportunity should be utilized to devise effective strategies to address pressing matters.
The Pastor’s visit to the United States of America should serve as a means to express a profound reconciliation process, where all parties involved recognize the importance of working for God and considering the future of this esteemed Church.
At this point, Rev EMF Oshoffa should regard M/S/E Banjo as a father figure, just as late Rev. Bada saw late Sup/Evang. Ajanlekoko as a paternal figure. In a similar manner, late Rev. Bada provided accommodation for late S/S/E Ajanlekoko until his passing in 1997. Rev. EMF Oshoffa should adopt the same approach when dealing with M/S/E Banjo, emulating the way late Rev. Bada interacted with late Sup/Evang. Ajanlekoko. None of the court judgments have ever favored us as a Church, and yet none of them will define our togetherness. The only time we experienced God’s supremacy over the authority of the Nigerian government was in 1952, during the era of Sir John Macpherson, when the Church underwent its initial registration.
Both the Pastor and M/S/E Banjo must be prepared to be flexible on this matter. While the Pastor has the authority, according to the Church Constitution, to make final decisions on spiritual and administrative matters, the CAMA law enforced by President Buhari’s government also grants the BOT influence in the administration of every religious organization.
It Is a fact that the outcome of the ongoing court case, presided over by Justice Peter Iifiu, will inevitably favor one party over the other. Unfortunately, this judgment will only serve to further deepen the divisions within the institution that God entrusted to Papa SBJ Oshoffa. Now is the perfect time to look beyond the present and consider the future of the Church, keeping in mind the unborn generations who will continue to worship in the Celestial Church.
It is evident that both the Pastor and M/S/E Banjo are not the root of the problem. Instead, it is the negative stereotypes surrounding them that the Church should fervently pray against. Let us approach this situation with excitement and anticipation, as we strive to find common ground and work towards a harmonious future for the Celestial Church.
Let us approach these circumstances with enthusiasm and excitement, recognizing the immense potential for growth and unity within our religious organization. Together, we can overcome any challenges and continue to fulfill God’s divine plan for the Celestial Church of Christ.
let me tell you, the excitement in this story lies in the resilience of these two extraordinary individuals. Despite the challenges they faced, their unwavering love for each other and their shared vision for the Church remained unshaken. They refused to let the divisive tactics of others tear them apart.
Yet, amidst the tension, I cannot help but hold onto the hope that the glorious days of harmony between M/S/E Banjo and Rev EMF Oshoffa will be restored. It is imperative that we embrace peace and unity. Those who are close to the pastor must remind him of the cherished memories from the early 2002 era, while those in M/S/E Banjo’s inner circle should recall his unwavering commitment during the reign of the Pastor.
