In the bustling area of Lagos Island, a remarkable individual was born. Mr. and Mrs. Otele welcomed a baby boy into the world, a child destined by God to revolutionize the ministry in the western world. The birth of Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Festus Olusegun Bamidele Otele fulfilled the prophetic words of the Pastor Founder, Rev SBJ Oshoffa who foresaw Celestial Church spreading its wings across the globe & cleansing souls along the way.
Brother Otele’s journey as a Celestial member began at the tender age of six. Driven by curiosity, he would eagerly attend any service held at CCC Olowu Cathedral, Lagos Island not far from his parents’ residence. His parents never discouraged him from participating in the Parish’s activities, allowing him to explore his spiritual path freely.
It was during this time that the late Baba Are, the shepherd of CCC Olowu Cathedral recognized the potential in young Brother Otele and showered him with attention. The Church’s fundamental teachings resonated deeply with Brother Otele leading him to actively engage in the activities of CCC Makoko National Headquarters in Yaba, Lagos. Eventually, he found his spiritual home at CCC Akoka Cathedral when the Parish was established in 1975.
THE JOURNEY HAS A SHEPHERD
The incredible mission to reshape the world and deliver people from misfortune began in full force at CCC Akoka Cathedral in Lagos. Brother Otele wholeheartedly embraced God’s instructions and actively joined the Church Workers, guided by the wise of Late Baba Erinle, who recognized and nurtured the gift of the Holy Spirit in him.
Evang Otele also recognized the importance of modernizing of western education and eagerly enrolled as a student at Yaba College of Technology. Meeting all the requirements, he embarked on his journey as a Mechanical Engineering student, while staying focused on the divine assignment outlined by heavenly angels.
But that was not all. Late Rev Bada himself personally entrusted Brother Otele with the task of seeking further knowledge in theology research with a special emphasis on comparative studies of the Church’s tents and doctrines. Without hesitation, Brother Otele followed the Pastor’s advice and enrolled as a student at CCC Seminary School under the leadership of Baba Orovboni.
