In any Organization or Government, there is a separation of powers. These separations allow individuals to perform their duties independently without encroaching on the responsibilities of others. For example, the Minister of Information in Nigeria, Mohammed Idris Malagi, would not interfere in the assignments of Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, the Senior Special Adviser on Media & Publicly to President Tinubu.
The statements posted by Sup Evang Kayode Ajala on the unrest in UK Diocese further emphasize the need for the Church to have a structured system where professionals who understand the intricacies of their roles are given positions of authority. This is in contrast to selecting individuals who prioritize their personal interests and exploit the weakened system to drive the Church in their own direction.
It is widely known that there is unrest escalating in the United Kingdom. This unrest has led to the formation of a group called “Concerned Shepherds/Church Workers UK Diocese.” Their demand is for a complete restructuring, rebuilding, and restoration of the Diocese to its original position.
Recently, the Pastor embarked on a visitation to the United Kingdom. During his time there, he had the opportunity to meet with the group led by VSE Bola Olaleye. This group patiently expressed their concerns and positions to the Pastor, while also reminding him of their previous conversation in June of this year. The Pastor acknowledged the issues raised during their discussion and agreed to grant the group a three-month period to continue their activities. Additionally, a reconciliation process will be implemented to address these concerns.
Following their productive conversation, the group released an online press statement to inform members in the United Kingdom about their meeting with the Pastor. Notably, they specifically mentioned VSE AYO ESO who serves as the Treasurer under the leadership of MSE Fatusin as a witness to the meeting. The Press Statement release emphasised the group’s commitment to pursuing their agenda with the Pastor’s approval.
In response, the General Secretary of the MSE Fatusin faction, AVSE Agunbiade, issued a Press Statement to defend their office and justify the Pastor’s position. However, it is important to note that the Secretary was not present at the meeting and therefore can not accurately represent the Pastor’s words during meeting or when the Pastor was called on phone. AVSE Agunbiade further stated that the Pastor had instructed VSE Bola Olaleye to release a press statement to clarify the matter. Fortunately, VSE Bola Olaleye had already released a press statement acknowledging the Pastor’s remarks during the meeting held in London on September 14th, 2023.
On September 15th, 2023 in London, an incident occurred involving the Church Spokesman deviating from his responsibilities by reposting a Press Statement released by AVSE Agunbiade on the Church’s official blog. Both parties had initially attributed their actions to the Pastor’s statement. Given that VSE AYO OSHO is currently active, it raises the question of why he can not address the world to explain what transpired during the meeting.
It is unclear whether Sup Evang Kayode Ajala contacted the Pastor to seek his approval before posting a statement from the M/S/E Fatusin faction on the Church’s official blog. This raises concerns about whether Sup Evang Kayode Ajala is working for M/S/E Fastuin or the Pastor.
It is crucial to educate Sup Evang Kayode Ajala on the importance of providing balanced reports without personal gain when fulfilling his duties as the Church Spokesman. Additionally, Sup Evang Kayode Ajala must understand that any groups falling under the supervision of Pastor Rev EMF OSHOFFA have equal access to the Church blog regardless of their differences.
There is evidence suggesting that Sup Evang Kayode Ajala is working for MSE Fatusin without the Pastor’s consent, which is a violation of his role as the Church Spokesman.
