The Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa never introduced any processes in the Church based on his own ideas. Instead, he faithfully echoed the primary purpose of the Church to the first generation members. He also provided positive guidelines to be followed after his passing. Unfortunately, we have chosen to deviate from these directives disregarding the fundamental principles of the Church.
Currently, the Church has established various ranks, consisting of 28 anointed ranks for male members (both clergy and non-clergy) 6 anointed ranks for male prophets, 9 anointed ranks for female prophetesses, and 7 anointed ranks for female members. This totals to 50 ranks within our Church.
INTRODUCTION OF A PORTAL SITE FOR ANOINTMENT
The Registrar of the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) Professor Ishaq Oloyede, announced on February 20, 2023, that the board successfully registered 1.6 million candidates for the 2023 JAMB examination. This staggering number highlights the immense scale of operations that organizations like JAMB handle on a regular basis. In contrast, Celestial Church of Christ a renowned religious institution struggles to record even 500,000 members for anointment throughout an entire calendar year.
In this modern era, the introduction of websites has revolutionized the way various parastatals and organizations in Nigeria handle payments. It has significantly reduced the burden associated with financial transactions. Therefore, it is imperative for the church authority to embrace the trend of digitalization and implement an official portal for anointment exercises and monthly return payments.
By approving the design of this portal, the Church authority can effectively control any potential embezzlement of funds. Additionally, it will streamline the system and alleviate the sleepless nights experienced by shepherds who are responsible for registering their parish members for anointment. The portal will provide comprehensive and detailed information about individuals within the church creating a reliable record and database for proper assessment.
One of the key features of this portal will be a secure section where members can conveniently make payments through the Remita platform. This direct payment method will ensure accountability as funds will be transferred directly into the Church’s designated accounts.
In conclusion, the introduction of a portal site for anointment in Celestial Church of Christ is a necessary step towards embracing digitalization and enhancing efficiency. By implementing this platform, the church can effectively manage its operations, prevent financial mismanagement and provide a seamless experience for its members.
ENHANCING SECURITY MEASURES ON IMEKO EXPRESSWAY
The security situation in Nigeria falls significantly below the standards observed in many developing countries worldwide. Despite the Federal Government’s expenditure of over 12 Trillion Naira on security over the past decade, the country continues to grapple with rampant cases of kidnapping, banditry, and robbery within its borders.
It is disheartening to witness the failure of the Church authority in protecting the interests of its members, particularly in a nation where the government has proven ineffective in fulfilling its responsibilities. Many shepherds and Church workers embark on journeys to Imeko carrying substantial amounts of cash for anointment purposes. In light of this, it is imperative for the Church authority to prioritize the implementation of robust security arrangements to ensure the safety of these individuals during their travels.
Notably, the current Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for Ogun State is an active member of the Church and the Church also boasts senior members within the military and paramilitary forces. To safeguard the well-being of all, it is crucial for the Church authority to devise a comprehensive security framework in collaboration with these service members. This framework should include the establishment of checkpoints along the Imeko expressway during anointment and convocation events. It is imperative that we think innovatively and beyond conventional administrative structures prioritizing the safety of the Church community while upholding its spiritual values.
By taking proactive measures to enhance security on Imeko Expressway, the Church authority can demonstrate its commitment to the welfare of its members and set a precedent for other institutions to follow. Let us approach this matter with a professional mindset ensuring that our actions align with the highest standards of professionalism and effectiveness.
