Emmanuel Mawunyon, the sole son of our Pastor Founder Sister, who was divinely restored to life who later became the first Prophet in the Church revealed several doctrinal practices including guidelines for our dressing. These instructions were subsequently approved by the Pastor Founder, following deep spiritual guidance from God. However, we find ourselves in a predicament where female members of the Church have deviated from these guidelines, altering their garment dressing to suit their personal preferences thus contradicting God’s instructions.
One particular concern that has emerged is the widespread adoption of an inappropriate style of female cap, resembling that of a chef’s hat. This deviation from the prescribed dressing principles during harvest ceremonies has become increasingly prevalent. Regrettably, this has led to negative stereotypes being associated with the Mother Celestial who should ideally be the epitome of righteousness and control the narrative surrounding our Church.
It has been alleged that Mama Esther Ajayi, during her frequent visits to the Church World Headquarters in Imeko introduced this style of cap. While this claim may hold some truth, it is crucial to note that it is the responsibility of the shepherds to implement policies that counteract this anti-dressing trend, which has undeniably manipulated the fundamental principles of the Celestial Church of Christ.
