Celestial Church of Christ has a standard in doctrinal practice that all clergies must abide by. These laws do not exempt any shepherds, regardless of their status. In the early 80s, during the reign of the Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa, one of his sons served as a shepherd at CCC Ire Akari Parish in Isolo, Lagos. Despite being the son of the Pastor, he was not exempt from his duties.
The current Pastor of the Church faces a challenge that requires constant presence and support from those around him. This challenge was taken into consideration when the registered Board of Trustees assigned late M/S/E Ajose to assist the Pastor upon assuming his duties. Later, V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa was contacted to take on the responsibilities of assisting the Pastor. Unfortunately, the aftermath of these duties resulted in a coup d’état against the constituted authority, which the registered Board of Trustees stood against.
Before the sudden disappearance of Most Senior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa in public engagements, a controversy arose regarding the hijacking of duties by V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa from his brother. This topic sparked a debate on who the genuine Personal Assistant (P.A) to the Pastor was, as it was alleged that the Pastor had appointed V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa as P.A 1 while Most Senior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa held the position of P.A 2.
Currently, V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa has abandoned his duty post, claiming that he is assisting the Pastor based on the prevailing circumstances. This raises the question of whether the Pastor can appoint a substantive Personal Assistant if Most Senior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa is no longer interested in the job.
Tactically, the constant absence of V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa from duty as stated in 118 of the Church Constitution has adversely affect the growth of CCC Ketu International due to the nonchalant attitude, which will inevitably result from the Shepherd’s non-appearance.
In light of the aforementioned situation, it is imperative to address the issue of the Pastor’s Personal Assistant with utmost urgency. The sudden disappearance of Most Senior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa has given rise to a controversial power struggle within the Church, as V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa has seemingly taken over his brother’s duties.
