Judge Ifilu attentively listened to the arguments presented by both lawyers representing their respective clients. During the defense of the Pastor, the lawyer for Rev EMF Oshoffa Obafemi Adewale SAN, who also serves as the new secretary of the unauthorized BOT raised an objection. He claimed that the Pastor attended M/S/E Banjo Birthday Thanksgiving on October 22nd, 2023, at CCC Agidingbi Cathedral in Lagos, Nigeria.
In response, the lawyer representing the registered BOT stated that the Pastor’s actions or lack thereof have never demonstrated a genuine desire to reconcile with all the parties involved. Furthermore, he explained that during a brief statement at CCC Agidingbi Cathedral, the Pastor merely mentioned that he had come to greet them as he had an important harvest to attend. This statement was corroborated by his brother, VSE Tosho Oshoffa.
The Pastor’s legal representative emphasized that the Pastor captured a photograph alongside M/S/E BANJO as a response to the proposed settlement. Conversely, the registered BOT countered this by asserting that a mere photograph does not validate any agreement of settlement. The BOT lawyer then raised the question of what steps the Pastor had taken to resolve the matter outside of court prior to the Birthday Thanksgiving event at CCC Agidingbi Cathedral Lagos, which occurred between October 22nd, 2023, and what step has the Pastor taken between then till November 6th, 2023.
After carefully considering the arguments presented by both parties, the Judge scheduled the final hearing for January 11th, 2024 with the day of the verdict set for January 18th, 2024.
Pastor has no genuine reconciliation move because all his cohorts will loose their appointment . Non of them will advice rightly because will be stripped off of their appointment
ReplyDeleteBarrister Adewale SAN knows the end game but he is already positioned to appeal the ruling down to supreme court just to buy time for either party to travel to the great beyond . He is testing the water riding on our delayed justices. It is well
