The number of candidates writing JAMB examination far exceeds the number of Celestial Church members seeking anointment each year. While many organizations have embraced digitalization to enhance their structures, certain individuals have taken advantage of Celestial Church’s outdated registration and database system, operating without any accountability.
Despite the advancements in technology, Celestial Church has chosen to stick with the analog system, which has only served to benefit a select few who resist any form of innovation within the Church. In light of this, the Church authority has issued a press statement requesting all clergies anointed with the titles of Venerable Superior Evangelist and Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist between December 2022 and March 2023 to submit their information.

The press statement further justifies the clear explanation of a collapsed administrative system that has been managed through selfish interests, disregarding the principles of transparent accountability and equality.
In the case of clergies wearing unapproved ranks, we must also consider those clergies who have duly registered in the Pastor’s office. We find ourselves in a situation where the authority is unable to account for anointment money or even possess a list of approved clergies.
To compound matters, those clergies who have already paid for anointment certificates will now be required to repay an additional #5,000 for the re-issuing of their certificates. The unfortunate aspect is that while the Pastor’s office has highlighted the name of the person who will receive the analog database, the account details for the #5000 payment have not been released.
It is evident that this situation highlights a deeply flawed administrative system, driven by self-interest rather than the principles of transparency, accountability and equality. The lack of proper record-keeping and the imposition of additional fees on already paid services only serve to further undermine the credibility of the Pastor’s office.
