The Federal High Court ruling declared Rev. EMF Oshoffa and other pastors as illegal and subsequently declared the seat of the Pastor vacant. The decision was made after the Church failed to comply with the legal advice provided by the Supreme Court Judgement in the year 2000.
In response to the ruling, the legal team representing Rev. EMF Oshoffa contacted the Appeal Court seeking redress. The registered Board of Trustees (BOT) managed to secure a stay of execution, allowing the Pastor to remain in office. This was achieved through a judgement delivered by Judge Olugbemi on May 17, 2016.
The Appeal Court hearing is scheduled to take place on the 10th of January 2024, in Ibadan. Additionally, the Federal High Court in Ikoyi will also be hearing the case regarding the dissolution of the registered BOT on the 11th of January 2024.
