Confirming the news, V/S/E Balogun’s as arrived South Africa today (29th of January 2024) which his presence as continues to generate controversy and debate. The Pastor’s office has remained silent, failing to respond to some of the accusations. Unfortunately, this lack of transparency is not a new development from the Church’s authority, as they often turn a blind eye to issues affecting the Church, further creating division among its members.
The rejection of V/S/E Balogun as the substantive Head of Diocese in South Africa has dealt a heavy blow to V/S/E Balogun who has been struggling to establish an executive due to legitimate reasons that the Church authority has neglected to address. The Shepherds in South Africa have made it abundantly clear that his current position as HOD is illegal and condemned in every aspect.
They have publicly declared their support for V/S/E Ogunsola who has made significant contributions to the lives of Celestial Church of Christ in South Africa since establishing the first parish with the Pastoral Blessing of Late Rev AA Bada during his tenure. Furthermore, Rev EMF Oshoffa has also given his blessings for the continued leadership of V/S/E Ogunsola. However, it has come to light that a close associate and brother of the Pastor allegedly advised Rev EMF Oshoffa to remove VSE Ogunsola.
In order to assert his authority over Celestial members in South Africa and gain support from the Church, V/S/E Balogun has resorted to employing tactics such as threats to life, arrests, spiritual attacks and bullying. These methods are used to suppress the unified voice of God’s people.
It is of utmost importance for the Pastor to engage in extensive consultations with worshippers in each respective country before implementing any laws or making changes to the Head of Diocese. This is crucial in order to prevent internal conflicts among the members. It has been observed that a significant number of Head of Diocese in foreign countries register the Church under their own profiles, as required by the laws governing the physical appearance of those who are to lead the congregation.
To ensure a harmonious and united Church in South Africa, it is imperative for the Pastor to foster open dialogue and inclusivity among the worshippers. By actively involving the congregation in decision-making processes, the Pastor can avoid potential crises and promote a sense of belonging and unity within the Church.
It is essential for V/S/E Balogun to seek support from the Celestial members in South Africa in a respectful and collaborative manner. Instead of resorting to forceful tactics.
