During the 70th Anniversary Celebration, the current Pastor, Rev EMF Oshoffa was the focal point. He spoke with great enthusiasm and independence, expressing his gratitude for the privilege of leading the Church after 70 years of existence.
The Pastor highlighted the significant impact of a man who consistently advocated for a better Church, operated with transparency and openness and always thought positively about the Church. This man was none other than Most Superior Evangelist Samson Olutunde Banjo. In recognition of Baba Banjo’s unwavering commitment and his role in establishing the Church’s administrative system alongside his father, the founder, Rev EMF Oshoffa publicly declared Most Superior Evangelist Banjo as the Doyen of CCC Worldwide.
Immediately, M/S/E Banjo kennel knelt before the Pastor to accept the honor. The day was graced by the presence of individuals such as Baba Oshin, Baba Nunayon, Baba Pius, Baba Akinterinwa, Baba Ajao, Baba Olarinde, Baba Akindoyin, Late Baba Ajose, Late Baba Toriola, and others.
The Pastor exuded a high level of mental and physical well-being through his appearance, while his Personal Assistant, Evang Solomon Oshoffa radiated happiness.
However, tensions arose as the winning team went their separate ways. The Pastor and the Doyen did not communicate and there was a lack of visitation between them. The Pastor’s mind was influenced by negative information about certain individuals, leading to a strained relationship. Rumors circulated about the removal of the Pastor from his position, further complicating matters.
It became apparent that the Pastor was not open to genuine peace and reconciliation efforts, with reports suggesting that the registered Board of Trustees did not support his leadership. Some members feared that their sources of income would be affected if the Pastor aligned with the BOT, as it would bring about changes to the Church’s traditional practices.
