The persistent of fuel crisis in Nigeria is not strange as citizens adopt the government policies not to make product of the fuel to the masses throughout the country, the similarities goes to electricity supply for the citizens where pay high not enjoy light for 2 hours in a day.
Fuel product & electricity are two major assets to every Church in Nigeria, where Celestial Church of Christ is not exclusive. The setback as forced parishes in Celestial Church sent higher percentage of their income to make provision for fuel, diesel and electricity.
Majority of Parishes conduct their middle service with plan to fuel nor setting up their musical instruments due to the cost of production for fuel and diesel for the Choir. The impact as created dispute between shepherds and Parochial Committee member over the shortage of fuel to power generator as those who stay within the Church premises.
It a fact that the Parochial Committee couldn’t make provision for fuel throughout the week in an attempt to avoid darkness at night. The major challenge confronting parishes is the Sunday Glorious Service where some parishes buy 30 thousand Naira fuel for a single service, while some will engage in purchase of black market as the production is not available in their areas.
After the removal of fuel subsidy, the price of the production as been skyrocketed over 250 percentage, while the Church authority at the center still maintain the 2/3 share allocation (Ipin) without putting into consideration the financial bankrupt some parishes are experiencing in a way to make their daily activities.
