Celestial Church of Christ is likened to the host of angels in heaven, while its establishment on earth serves to reaffirm God’s covenant of love with humanity. Pastor SBJ Oshoffa was chosen by God to lead the Church’s mission of salvation on earth. The Church’s purpose is to correct negative impressions rather than adopt them as a means of expressing their faith in Christianity.
The Pastor Founder acknowledged the expansion of Celestial Church of Christ in the western world driven by the desire to spread salvation. However, the primary intention behind this expansion has been compromised by a few individuals who lack the understanding of leadership and spirituality.
The situation in the United Kingdom Diocese has captured the attention of Celestial members worldwide. Unfortunately, this uncontrollable situation has led to discord and misunderstandings among the clergy within the Diocese. According to the Church Constitution, the Pastor authority serves as the highest decision-making organ, the Church Constitution allow the Pastor to seek deep consultations and discussions on matter concerning the Church. However, the Diocese has instilled a sense of fear, silencing those who challenge the unfriendly decisions made by the Executive.
As anticipated, Pastor EMF Oshoffa will be embarking on a pastoral visitation to the United Kingdom by 8th September 2023. This visitation holds great significance as it will determine the future of the Diocese. Every member of Celestial Church eagerly awaits the decision that will transform misfortune into progress. The current issues at hand do not align with the values of love and the true essence of Celestial Church of Christ.
During the visit, the Pastor will make a crucial choice that will determine whether the United Kingdom Diocese will experience the same unrest that plagued the USA Diocese for over 25 months before the recent resolution to divide the USA Diocese. The viewpoints of certain clergies differ greatly from the present leadership, resulting in a parallel system of conflicting ideologies. The Pastor’s arrival in the United Kingdom is scheduled for September, a month of great significance in the Church’s history.
On September 1st, 1985, the Pastor Founder encountered an accident while en route to attend the Harvest of CCC Mokola Parish in Ibadan.
On September 10th, 1985, the Pastor Founder departed from this sinful world.
Additionally, on September 8th, 2000, the Late Rev AA Bada peacefully passed away, joining the Lord.
