On the 24th of October 2023, a seismic shift occurred in the Pastor’s Office, as V/S/E Adeniyi (Head of Administration) was abruptly instructed to vacate his position. The reason? He had dared to support the Pastor’s official letter to M/S/E Samson Olutunde Banjo, congratulating him on his 90th birthday.
Prior to this incident, V/S/E Adeniyi had been persistently urging Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa to make a surprise visit to CCC National Headquarters Parish Makoko, Lagos in order to reconcile with the registered BOT. Despite his efforts, the attempt failed. Undeterred, V/S/E Adeniyi then proposed that the Pastor attend the Thanksgiving Service at CCC Agidingbi Cathedral, Lagos on the 22nd of October 2023 in honor of M/S/E Banjo. The Pastor reluctantly attended, only to be dismissed by V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa who announced that the Pastor had merely come to offer greetings, as he had a harvest to attend at CCC Akinyele Parish, Ipaja, Lagos.
Immediately after the Pastor returned home, V/S/E Adeniyi was labeled an enemy of the Pastor because he insisted that the Pastor should attend M/S/E Banjo’s birthday. Consequently, the Pastor initially approved his immediate transfer to a Parish in Kenya. However, due to appeals from various parties involved, he was asked to remain in his position while Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala took charge of the Church administration management. This decision was made as the loyalty of V/S/E Adeniyi is currently under scrutiny.
On November 2nd, 2023 the Head of the Church Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala publicly announced an addition to his portfolio as the Deputy Head of Administration. Additionally, he will also maintained the position of Head of Media/Public Relations for the Church. This same mirrors V/S/E Adjovi role as Osun State Evangelist and Chairman of the Taskforce Committee, while also being a member of the Shepherd Transfer Committee.
The similarities between Adjovi and Ajala are striking, highlighting the parallel paths they have taken within the Church.
It Is disheartening to witness the subversion of justice and the silencing of voices that advocate for fairness and unity within our Church. The actions taken against V/S/E Adeniyi serve as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by those who dare to question the status quo.
In a time when the Church should be a beacon of hope and inclusivity, it is disconcerting to witness the suppression of individuals who strive for balance and harmony. We must strive to create an environment where justice take center stage.
