It has been confirmed that the Pastor has officially requested M/S/E Olarinde to return back to Nigeria, while he also informed the Parish of the appointment of A/V/S/E Wale Ogun from CCC New York Parish as their new Shepherd. This decision has been communicated to the Parish through a letter from the Church authority.
A/V/S/E Wale Ogun has been appointed as the Parish’s substantive shepherd for the next six months. The selection of shepherds has always been a topic of debate among the worshippers in the Parish.
The current state of unrest in the Parish can be attributed to Mother Celestial Ebun Enahoro who has taken it upon herself to dictate the future of the Parish without allowing the parishioners to have a say. She has managed to infiltrate the Church administration in Nigeria by attending meetings as the Pastor Representative, which has caused a great deal of turmoil.
The physical confrontations that have taken place within the Parish have significantly hindered its progress in the past. However, the appointment of M/S/E Olarinde has helped to alleviate some of the negative attention the Parish has received on social media. Unfortunately, this sudden change has also sparked further unrest, as the parish members have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Pastor’s decision to replace their Shepherd without proper consultation. This discontent stems from the fact that the Pastor made this decision without any communication to Parish.
In light of these developments, it is crucial for the Parish to come together and navigate this transition period with grace and unity. The challenges ahead require them to uphold the values of peace, understanding and cooperation that have defined our faith because the Parish can work towards resolving the current unrest and fostering a sense of unity and trust among its member rather than the authority using external force to decide the future of the Parish.
