One of the unfortunate tactics employed by those seeking to cause harm is the dissemination of fake information, distorting the genuine intentions behind spreading the purpose of God within Celestial Church of Christ. This is done to shield the malicious individuals within the Church and gain cheap popularity.
Every religious organization has its own set of principles for carrying out the tasks assigned to them. As an African Church falling under the classification of religious studies, both Celestial Church of Christ and Cherubim and Seraphim Church share similarities in their doctrinal practices, with both churches having a significant following in the western part of Nigeria.
The Amssia Service in Celestial Church of Christ, which serves as a remembrance for the departed souls is not widely known to some people. This service has unique and specific ways of observation and participation, similar to the HOLY MICHAEL Day in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, which is observed with a particular dress code.
It Is a well-known fact that Cherubim and Seraphim have different colors in terms of their dressing, as directed by God. Their approved dress code includes red cloth, a color that is forbidden in Celestial Church of Christ. In order to avoid causing division in faith, the Pastor Founder, Rev SBJ Oshoffa never sanctioned or cautioned Celestial members against attending activities at Cherubim and Seraphim. However, the approval of access granted to Superior Evangelist Opudu, popularly known as White Lion by the Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa allow him to attend a Cherubim and Seraphim event in 2015 with his white garment showcasing his identification as a Celestian member. It is important to note that he did not change his faith nor did he wear the red cloth during the program held at Cherubim and Seraphim. Nevertheless, certain individuals who advocate for ritualism in Celestial Church of Christ have chosen to embark on a misguided argument, claiming that Superior Evangelist Opudu attended a Cherubim and Seraphim program.
The fear of White Lion is the beginning of wisdom for these ritualists in Celestial Church and their associates, who do not have a parish but instead practice a blend of traditional and Christian beliefs. We boldly declare that Celestial Church of Christ is not for them, as we will continue to expose them and their sponsors who worship idols at a location in Imeko, only to turn around and join us in worshiping the Almighty God at the holy land in Imeko.
